Building Peace in Schools: Student Leadership in Restorative Practice for Community Building and Conflict Resolution
Meg Chamberlin is a global K-12 school leader and restorative practice facilitator dedicated to empowering young people and educators to lead with empathy and accountability. With 20 years of experience in public and private schools across five continents, Meg specializes in building collective capacity to implement restorative practice frameworks that strengthen student voice, responsibility, and meaningful conflict resolution.
Through a trauma-informed lens, her work supports the re-humanization of education, engaging all community members in effective collaboration, enhancing belonging while reducing interpersonal harm and repeat disciplinary challenges. Holding a Master’s in Human Security and Peacebuilding, Meg brings deep expertise in global citizenship education and cross-cultural competency and is passionate about supporting students, educators, and families in building inclusive, relationship-centered school communities.
